Orka paddles have quickly gained a loyal international following among surfski, marathon & sprint paddlers since their set up several years ago. Orka paddles is owned and run by by Alexa Cole, a well-respected & highly successful Marathon & Ski paddler. Orka have worked with leading paddlers to produce a full range of wing blades that include all the main current types (i.e. Brasca, Epic, Jantex type shapes). The standout thing about Orka paddles is that they are are extremely well made to withstand the rigors of downriver & Ocean ski paddling as practiced in South Africa. The extra robust construction, may add a few grms but the end result is a paddle that can be trusted on serious water and should last for many seasons. They are a classic Liffey paddle, as effectively demonstrated by the Louw brothers who used Orka Inner blades in their stunning Liffey Descent K2 win of 2009. Their latest split paddle locking adjustment is simple, easy to operate and bombproof.
